The
Division for Working Families
The Division for Working Families is going to hire 8 VISTA’s
this spring and we need to fill these positions as soon as possible.

Foreclosure prevention work:
Partner organizations: GPUAC, The Reinvestment Fund, Community Legal
Services and Consumer Credit Counseling Services. VISTA’s will be
doing direct outreach in two neighborhoods of Philadelphia: West Oak Lane and
Southwest Philadelphia. Depending on timing, they may then be moving to
two new neighborhoods.
Wealth Building/Asset Development:
This includes a variety of asset development/financial education work
with the Campaign for Working Families, and FAN Clubs (financial education
peer support groups).
We are looking for self-motivated individuals who are interested in these issues
and committed to building a stronger economic base for working people. They
should be comfortable working in diverse work environments and communities.
VISTA Benefits
VISTA’S work full time for one year, they earn $11,388/year, have health
insurance, child care assistance if qualified, Transpass, and earn an education
award of over $5,000 at the completion of their service.
VISTA’s are not allowed to work part-time on
this job, nor to go to school while serving for one year. |
